Become a Member
Each member will participate in at least one of the following activities:
Group and Community-Based Mentoring - Members serving with community-based mentoring programs support mentoring matches and children waiting for mentors. Members support mentors, children, and families and conduct activities for both matches and children waiting for mentors.
Academic Mentoring/Tutoring - Members serve as academic mentors/tutors and as program coordinators alongside staff and community volunteers of academic mentoring/tutoring programs.
Out of School Youth Programs - Members assist with the coordination and implementation of activities and programming with youth agencies, schools and community organizations.
All Members:
Volunteer Mobilization - Members will develop and support existing volunteer management systems at their host site and in the community. Community members of all ages will be mobilized as tutors, mentors, and volunteers within ongoing and one-time service projects, with a special focus on youth.
Civic Engagement - All members are to be actively involved in their community and participate in a minimum of five civic engagement opportunities throughout their year of service. Members will receive training on civic engagement and opportunities to complete this requirement will be communicated to members throughout the year.
